Station chart features

Learn how to use features and functionality while viewing a station chart.

1

Select station and data to display

Use the dropdown (top left) to change stations without leaving the screen. Click on the toggle buttons to turn data series ON/OFF.

2

Show more/less data and change aggregation period

Use the Time Period selector to display 30 days (default), 90 days, or year-to-date.

Use the Interval selector to choose between daily (default), weekly, and monthly aggregation (uses end-of-period values).

3

Seasonality: compare the current year to past years

From the default view, select YTD (year-to-date) as the Time Period, and then click on other years of interest. The chart displays a calendar year (Jan - Dec) with each of the selected years as separate series, including the current year.

4

View historical forecasts

Every forecast that we create is preserved as a snapshot in time. You can view all of our historical forecasts by toggling ON the Historical Forecast selector and then hovering your mouse over past dates.

The forecasted river-level trajectory that was created on the date that you're hovering over is shown as a dashed gray line overlaid on the chart.

This indicator is meant to provide you with a quick and easy way of visually validating our models' performance across seasons and weather-dependent contexts.
