A quick intro on viewing and using the features in the station chart.

Station chart thumbnail view

The thumbnail view of the station chart displays recent actual/observed river levels (past 30 days) as well as RiverSat's forecast (next 28 days). Below the chart, you'll see some useful information about the station and a calendar view of surcharges.

View expanded station chart

Click on the icon in the upper right-hand corner of the thumbnail chart to expand the station chart.

Interpret the chart's data

Blue line: daily historical recorded (actual) river level up to yesterday.

Shaded blue area: daily min/max values recorded data.

Blue dot: latest recorded value today; updated every 15 minutes.

Gray dashed line: forecasted river level value for next 28 days.

Shaded gray region: probabilistic forecast confidence envelope for next 16 days.

Yellow, Orange, Red shaded regions: station-specific thresholds relevant for barge transport.
